Is there a need for a brain? You should be surprised at this question and consider it only illogical to learn in the curricula of schools and universities that its existence is imperative for the continuation of life and that any damage in one of its parts corresponds to obstruction in physical or mental activities.
But there are striking cases where the brain is missing or confined to a small layer of nerve blocks and the most famous cases are Hydrocephalus and some rare cases called Anencephalus This term refers to the case of the loss of a large part of the biological mass of the brain so that the skull is almost empty except the layer of tissue Adhering to the walls of the inner skull, people with this condition may survive and exercise their lives normally
There have been more astonishing cases where the brain is completely absent from the skull if this question surprised the scientists and clearly proves that various mental activities such as memory, logic, thinking, awareness and intelligence have nothing to do with the brain!
The most famous cases are those in the 1980 journal Science magazin, which talks about a story that took place at the University of Sheffield in Britain in 1979. A 26-year-old university student went to the doctor's office and had a cold. The doctor noticed, however, that the graduate student, The honor of mathematics was somewhat normal but his head size was greater than normal. The doctor had only to send the student to the physician John Loper, who was the most important neurosurgeon at the Sheffield Neurosurgery
Dr. Lauber found it amazing that a student with an IQ of 126 who has no signs of mental impairment and after undergoing a CAT scan shows that his head is missing the brain!
Instead, it was full of fluids, except for a small spinal mass formed around the seismic column. The thickness of several millimeters instead of several conferences in the natural state!
Dr. Lauber knew that there were similar cases where the brain mass absent completely from the head, but the most interesting in this case is the superiority of this young student in his scientific studies with high IQ and all this brain mass in the head does not exceed 100 grams compared to the normal brain weight 1500 grams Let him ask the question seriously: Is there a need for the brain ?? !!
Other condition of another kind
According to life experience, we all now share the common scientific belief that the brain, if exposed to a strong shock or injury as a result of piercing the skull, will affect physiological functions such as paralysis, blindness and even death. But there seems to be exceptions, which may seem to be not always true, as we shall see in one of the most bizarre incidents that speak of man's ability to survive, stand up and struggle for survival.
The case of Vince Gage
Gage was 25 years old when he served as the head of a workshop in 1848, and one day while working in a workshop to smash the rock layers requiring gunpowder, Gage was your hand and stuffing gunpowder into a rocky hole using an iron rod when his friend called him from afar, As soon as he turned back to the source of the sound, the mine exploded imperfectly, but that was enough to make the penis fly from his hand like a Rocket to fall away.
This iron bar, which was launched in a flash, broke through Gage's head without knowing! .. What happened in the next few minutes is that those who gathered around the man falling on the ground because of the pressure of the explosion were surprised and amazed when they saw that big hole in his skull while he wakes from his stupidity and began talking with the attendees and there was nothing !
According to medical reports, the frontal lobe of his brain has been almost completely destroyed. This is still confusing neuroscience and the medical world in general to this day because Gage got up from the ground and spoke naturally, but he was known to have suffered a serious wound because of Blood flowing heavily.
He was sent to the house where he was examined by the doctor, "John Harlow" During the period of his care for the wounded "Gage" noted that he began to suffer from a fever gradually, and then reached a stage where the ability to speak clearly, and then the state of non-response with the ocean, Deep for several days, and it remained so until the beginning of October, where he gradually recovered until he recovered completely before the end of November.
To the astonishment of the doctors who examined him after his full recovery, he found that he had all the excellent qualities of health, except the loss of sight in the left eye, and a soft spot in his head where there was an incomplete fracture of the skull. It can be observed immediately and clearly, and this is what made Gage work in the closet most of his life, crossing his head pierced.
Gage died many years later with epilepsy, believed to be the result of an accident at the beginning of his life. His skull, which is now on display at Harvard University, is attached to the metal bar he has pierced.
His strange state is still raised today in the medical community. For some, it is considered a powerful slap in the face of medicine. According to theological science, there is no place for wonders in this world. Everything has a scientific explanation. If so, please let me know and explain this case scientifically !
